Wrapped in a tight ball under the covers, palms sweaty, gripped with fear by the idea of a giant bunny delivering candy outside my window. 🐇 🍭

25 years later, my fears have changed from Easter Bunny’s to the unknown. The things that are outside of my control – which is, um, basically everything.

Being here in the Sacred Valley has introduced me to a whole new realm of spiritual seeking, including a controversial man named Diego Palma.

What is this feeling of fear?

He describes fear as “your natural true vibration filtered through a belief system that is out of tune with your natural state – your core vibration”

Have you ever been afraid while at the same time knowing deep within that everything was going to be okay?

Before stepping off the platform of a Tarzan swing in Costa Rica or showing up to that meditation class alone. You know you can do it while also being gripped with fear.

That’s your core vibration, and it’s inside each and every one of us – buried deep within a belief system acquired in a modern world wrought with greed, hate and sadness.

Being afraid is a signal of heading in the right direction

When you acknowledge fear, tune into your core vibration, and push to go beyond – that’s when things really start to happen.

Only by tuning into your core vibration can you turn fear into an opportunity for growth.

My core vibration pushed me to overcome some pretty debilitating fears when I started my business and is the driving force behind my new project – this newsletter.

Fear is what led me to a year of travel and only 2 months in, I’ve already grown so much.

After years of what felt like a constant battle, I finally see that the more I understand my fear and lean into it, the stronger my core vibration becomes and that is worth sharing.

I’ll leave you with this empowering quote from the Indian philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti:

“It is not that you must be free from fear. The moment you try to free yourself from fear, you create a resistance against fear. Resistance in any form doesn’t end fear. What is needed rather than running away or controlling or suppressing or any other resistance is understanding fear; that means watch it; learn about it; come directly into contact with it.”
